If the damage is so great that the wood can’t be replaced, we can reinforce said wood using the ‘Sister’ method. ‘Ssitering’ refers to a repair which first cuts back the rotted piece of wood, then anchoring a component of equal or greater load bearing capacity to pieces not suffering from dry rot.
